More information... We have received many phone calls regarding using TerraBathe clay as a detoxification clay bath for children due to the recent "news coverage" on autism. Our full article will be up next week. Kids love taking a "mud bath!" TerraBathe is excellent for providing your children a detoxification bath to assist in removing toxic substances through the pours of the skin. Since autistic kids are so sensitive, use just 1/4th a cup or less in the tub and follow the instructions below. WE HIGHLY SUGGEST reading our article on the Red DesertTM/Terramin Edible clay. This clay is screened for eating and goes into the bloodstream, scavenging out the above mentioned toxins and removes them from the body. Sensitive children need tiny amounts of Red DesertTM/Terramin clay to start...and it is always a good idea to first check with your physician about detoxification - hopefully they are open to alternative solutions to these types of health issues.
CLAY PAK - TerraBathe is the same clay used at the Gerson Institute/Cancer Center for alternative healing in San Diego. You can make a clay pak for any area of the body, by taking a heaping tablespoon or more of the TerraBathe and mixing with water until you reach a spreadable mud consistency. Using a spatula, spread the clay on the affected area of the body and allow to dry. Drying takes anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. Rinse off in the tub or shower. Remember to let the water run in your tub for a couple of minutes to assist the clay in completely flushing through your pipes. If the skin is already irritated, we suggest placing a thin peice of 100% cotton cloth on the skin first and then applying the clay to the thin cloth. Once the clay dries, you can remove the cloth, throw out the clay and repeat the clay pak as necessary. BATHING with TerraBathe - You will need less TerraBathe per bath or footbath than the grey/whitish clay powders usually used for external detoxification. TerraBathe particles are much, much smaller and there are more of them, providing more skin coverage and pulling power. Coming from the dry, arid desert environment, each particle of TerraBathe (created by Mother Nature) has its own ionic field of energy. The exact minerals it contains, the tiny, tiny particle size, combined with the heat - make it very strong and effective for pulling toxic substances out of the body through the skin - and you will need less per bath or footbath. One-half cup clay to 1 cup is the usual protocol for taking a bath. Some people who want a stronger detoxification will use up to 2 cups of clay. If you are very sensitive and/or with children, use 1/2 the suggested amount. First, fill a glass of drinking water (preferably filtered) and have it next to the tub. As your bathtub is filling with very warm/hot water (comfortable for you), slowly mix in the clay. (Very warm/hot water opens the pores of the skin and stimulates the lymph system). Stir the clay as the tub is filling, to keep the clay particles from sticking together - Do Not Use Metal Utensils to stir the clay. Average soak time for an adult is 20 minutes or so. For children 10 minutes may be more appropriate. When you are finished with your bath, drink the glass of water to rehydrate, and then shower off. It is always a good idea to rest after a detoxification bath. How much clay to use is an individual choice depending on your health. Those with chronic conditions i.e. high blood pressure, heart condition etc., check with your doctor first and with approval, try 1/4th to ˝ cup soaking in the tub for just 10 minutes. FOOT BATH - If you cannot get into a tub, you can do a foot bath. Add 1/8th to 1/4th a cup of TerraBathe to a small tub of water and put your feet in for 10 minutes or longer. You may feel tingling as the blood is pulled to the surface of the skin and the toxins are removed. We find the TerraBathe goes down the drain smoothly and have not heard of this being a problem with plumbing, since the particles are so tiny. We do suggest allowing the water to run for several minutes after draining the tub, to allow all the clay to flush out. If you are not sure, bucket the water out and clean up the remaining clay with paper towels.
Remember to drink a glass of good quality water after a bath and rest and relax for awhile.

The difference with TerraBathe is the tiny, tiny particle size, which actually means more clay particles are touching the skin - so you will not need a large amount of TerraBathe. The strength of TerraBathe has to do with the location of the mine in the hot, dry, arid desert. 70% of the particles of TerraBathe clay are as little as 2 to 5 microns in size. This microscopic size allows for a huge surface area of clay to pull out toxins. This is very, very important. The smaller the clay particles, the larger the surface area...the greater the amount of toxins, bacteria, impurities etc. are pulled out of the body.
The high electrical and ionic charge (pulling power) in TerraBathe is measurable and strong. After a tough day, a soak in the tub with TerraBathe is an excellent therapeutic recipe for deep

FACIAL - You may mix clay with water or apple cider vinegar. Make a thin spreadable paste and apply to the skin. Leave the masque on for about 20 minutes and rinse off. Another formula from the book THE CLAY CURE consists of three ounces of clay, one egg, and equal parts of honey and cold water. The amount of honey added determines the hydrating ability of the masque. People with dry skin, or those who live in a dry climate, should add more honey than water. Those with oily skin, or those who live in a humid climate, may prefer less honey and more water for a more absorbent masque. Leave the masque on for about 20 minutes, then rinse, rub, or brush off. After preparing the masque, you can store what is left over in the refrigerator.
ACNE – Neva Jensen's book "Severe acne was cleared in four months. The entire back was covered
with a clay pack once a day as well as the face. Left on for 30 minutes and removed. After healing,
clay was continued until discoloration was gone." It is suggested to also eat pure calcium
montmorillonite clay, since the clay cleanses the blood of bacteria. We have found in the majority of cases of acne, that removing dairy from the diet is extremely beneficial, i.e. butter, milk, cheese, ice cream. (Try it for a week.!) CLAY PAK
How do you prepare a clay pack? In a small bowl pour 2 heaping tablespoons of clay; add good quality water enough to make a mixture of spreadable mud consistency. Spread the mud on the affected area of skin or spread on a piece of cloth (clean cotton white T-shirt) cut to size, and apply to skin. Cover the fabric with plastic to avoid evaporation. When the TerraBathe becomes dry and crumbly you can wash off the skin.
You can do the Clay Pak as often as necessary.
