The Red Desert® bathing clay is an excellent choice when searching for a powerful detoxification method for removing many toxic substances through the feet, hands or in the bath. Toxins such as ~
Unfriendly Bacteria Etc..
Heavy Metal Detox
*A. Place 1/4th cup or more of clay in a glass or ceramic bowl. Add warm, distilled or filtered water (not boiled water) and make a paste similar to butter consistency or thinner. Use a wooden or plastic utensil for mixing (non-metal utensils – since clay binds to heavy metals like silverware).
Once a day apply clay to one entire foot or hand and let dry (10 to 20 minutes). Wash off. The next day apply to an alternate hand or foot. Toxins effectively leave through the hands and feet.
*B. Eat the Red Desert edible clay as well
*C. Add the Natural Liquid Zeolite to your regime for additional removal of toxins. Dr. Gabriel Cousens recommends 10 drops 3 to 4 times/day for 6 to 8 weeks. More Info>>
Pain and Swelling - Reduces pain, swelling and inflammation.
My 4 year old grandson was bit on his ear by a spider while playing outside in 2009. The ear swelled and then carried down his neck. My daughter took him to urgent care where he was perscribed a specific antibiotic. The pharmacy was out of this drug and my daughter uncertain as what to do next gave me a ring. I suggested she go home and make some mud with the clay and apply it to the bite. Within a 1/2 hour the swelling reduced. Throughout the day my daughter rinsed off the mud and reapplied. The next day all was well, with a slight redness to the skin and ear, which disappeared in 24 hours. Perhaps all would have healed up faster had she applied the clay immediately instead of hours later.
Make a paste of the clay and apply approximately 1/8th to 1/4th inch directly to the skin. Allow to dry and then rinse off. You can also first cover the skin with gauze or a thin piece of 100% cotton, then apply, leaving the clay it on until it dries.
Liver, Pancreas, Thyroid etc. – For those instructed to use clay paks by their doctor for a particular condition – make a paste as in the heavy metal detox above. Spread the clay on the affected area of the body and allow to dry which takes anywhere from 20 to 35 minutes. (For length of time and durantion, speak to your doctor). Rinse off in the tub or shower. Remember to let the water run in your tub for a couple of minutes to assist the clay in completely flushing through your pipes.
If the skin is already irritated, we suggest placing a thin peice of 100% cotton cloth on the skin first and then applying the clay to the thin cloth. Once the clay dries, you can remove the cloth, throw out the clay and repeat the clay pak as necessary.
Facials, Masks – A clay masque is a wonderful deep cleansing solution to remove bacteria, toxins, excess acid etc. from the skin. It has an astringent action as well as a toning affect and leaves the skin soft while opening pores and removing dead skin cells. Since clay has an antibacterial as well as an antiseptic action, it will stop the growth of bacteria.
Take a couple of teaspoons of Red Desert® clay, mix with a little water (butter consistency). Spread on your face and neck 10 to 20 minutes before getting in the shower. Rinse off and notice how strong and effective the clay is -bringing the blood to the skin surface, which is very nourishing. Red Desert® Clay also tightens the pores and tones the skin.
Skin Rejuvenator - DermaStem is a new product with "Zero" petroleum derivatives, preservatives or chemicals in the formula or the processing.
Bacteria – For just about any skin ailment, Red Desert® clay will stop the growth of bacteria it comes in contact with.
Red Desert® clay is the same clay as featured on Animal Planet.
- the ionic charge is very, very high due to the location of our mine in the hot, dry, southwest desert - where originally hydrothermal activity took place and changed the structure of the Red Desert® Clay molecule - creating a "living clay." In this heated natural environment the clay minerals loose a water molecule, which causes each particle to create it's own ionic field of energy (becoming electrically negative).
- the tiny, tiny particle size. The smaller the clay particles are the more particles of clay are touching the skin. Most particles of Red Desert® clay are 2 to 3 microns in size, which is much smaller than the greyish/white colored clays. (For comparison, a hair on your head is approximately 75 microns in diameter).
Gerson Institute - - Red Desert® Clay is used at the Gerson Institute for alternative healing in San Diego. Instructions above.
Tub Bath ~ First, fill a drinking glass with good quality water and have it next to the tub.
As your bathtub is filling with very warm/hot water - kinda like a hot tub – but whatever is comfortable for you, slowly mix in the clay (very warm/hot water opens the pores of the skin and stimulates the lymph system). Stir the clay with a non-metal utensil, to keep the clay particles from sticking together.
How much clay to use is an individual choice depending on your health. Since Red Desert® Clay has a powerful electrical and ionic charge for pulling out toxins etc., 1 cup is the most common amount used (less for children). However some people use up to 2 cups, soaking in the tub for 10 to 20 minutes.
Those with chronic conditions i.e. high blood pressure, heart conditions etc, it is a good idea to check with your doctor first and with approval, try ½ cup clay, soaking in the tub for just 10 minutes. If you cannot get into a tub you can do a foot bath.
When you are finished with your bath, drink the glass of water to re-hydrate and then shower off. It is a good idea to honor the body and allow the body to rest while it continues to adjust to the detoxification process.
We have found the Red Desert® Clay to go down our drain smoothly, YET we always let our tub water run for an extra 2 minutes to allow all the clay to move out from the pipes. Although we have never had any complaints with our clay clogging drains – if you have old pipes or are concerned about the clay clogging your drain, wait a few hours for the clay to settle to the bottom of the tub. You can then bucket the water out and use paper towels to scoop out the remaining clay.
Foot Bath ~ Mix 1/8th to 1/4th cup clay in a small tub and soak your feet for 15 to 20 minutes or so. This often will make the toes and feet tingle, as the strong ionic charge (pulling power) of Red Desert® clay does its job pulling out toxins and bringing the blood flow to the skin surface.
Laura - Ontario I have muscular dystrophy. I took my first bath and nothing black came out, not even a change in the color of the clay; but the odors were almost intoxicating from a strong chlorine to God only knows what else. I only put one cup of Red Desert® clay in the tub, knowing how clogged up and toxic I have been. I thought it best to go slow and easy. I soaked for 40 minutes. The most amazing thing happened. I got out of the tub on my own. I haven't been able to do that for over 10 years. I can only take a bath when someone is around to assist me.
Radiation - Clay adsorbs radiation and was used in Cherynobl after the nuclear meltdown in the former Soviet Union.
Red Desert Clay is also being used by many who have been exposed to radiation in the Japan nuclear diaster of 2011.
Buruli Ulcer - One of our customers in Cyprus suffered with Buruli ulcer. This is a micro-bacteria similar to leprosy and tuberculosis which eats away the flesh on the body. It is a horrible condition. This man had a friend in New York who purchased our Red Desert® Clay in the spring of 2005 and brought it to Cyprus. After eating the clay every day and making poultices with for approximately 6 months, I recevied word that the Buruli ulcer condition was nearly gone and this man is doing very well."
